I swore I read somewhere that UT3 would be locked at 30fps, like Gears of War. That article you quoted for 60fps is back from august. Let me see if I can find a recent one.

It's good about the graphic fidelity between the PS3 and a high-end PC. Should please the fans.

That first article is funny, apparently having the six-axis and being guaranteed to have the same graphic fidelity as a bunch of other people makes it the definitive version...despite not having access to the community material which was pretty much the heart and soul of the multiplayer community for UT2k4. Nothing has changed, the PC version is still the definitive version.

Eh, no thanks. I think I'll stick to Call of Duty, and I'll try out that Half-Life game.

Different experience than UT3 really, its a very story driven FPS. Environmental puzzles mixed in, nothing that is just for the sake of a puzzle, but stuff that actually has a purpose etc...

But yes it is considered to be phenomenal FPS game, some call it "The Best Game Ever". But I don't know that I would go that far. It is most certainly worth it to get the orange box if you have never played the HL series. Playing HL1 to catch up on background info is a good starting point but not required imo.

UT3, 60fps on PS3? I highly doubt that.....

 No thanks - even though I have a PS3, this game belongs on the PC.
