Sorry, perhaps my point was not clear. I've spent the last 8 hours buried in mathematical equations and haven't seen a word or sentence in a long time :P

Yes, a PSP3000 plus a memory stick is more expensive, but you also get the ability to play UMD games. Some could consider this to be an advantage

Very true and i dont deny your point.  Just some claim that the increase in price for the PSP-Go is well not worth it.  And again i said depending on people's preferences, so i just gave a different perspective of the PSP Go.  There's always a pro and con for everything just depends on the buyer's needs.

Actually Scotie it can be cheaper if you get the right memory stick. My friend uses this and it works perfectly

Didn't Gamestop release as statement saying that PSP GO is actually better for their company since they can increase traffic in their stores by selling game cards on top of people buying psp gos.

The decision to not sell PSP GOs really just favours everyone of that stores competitors.

@ Acevil that thing is amazing i never knew of that! it works for both PSP-3000 and the PSP Go. cool lol

actually the psp go wont use the pro duo anymore itll use the M2, wich is the micro sd for anyone who doesnt know, and they are a lot cheaper, retail a 16gb chip is about 150$usd, and i just want one memorystick i dont wanna bother having to switch all the time between 2 8gb, so i cant wait for the go, also if anyone has played on a psp where they actually play game off of an iso on the memstick it runs so much faster, loading times are severely diminished.

A LOT of people were saying this was a danger for the PSPgo. I'm interested to see that it is, at least in a very small section of the world, actually coming true. Weird.

I predicted this back before the PSP:Go was even a rumour. I said that a companny would be daft to bring out a digital distribution only console/handheld because retailers wouldn't stock it, unless they could make hundreds of dollars profit on the hardware.

LTD stands for Life to Date (as in, right now), not Life to Death.  PSP Go's LTD sales are 0.  Period.  Why is that abbreviation so hard for some people?

they're just annoyed that their massive profits will go slightly down, Bah, if this is change bring it on!

Well, I hope the PSPgo does well, and this boycott doesn't start some reaction.

But, I'm waiting for the PSP 4000... I have a 2000 model already.  Once I get a 4000 model and a 32GB memory stick, I'm all set... I wont get a 4000 model if the screen is smaller (I'll settle for a 3000 then).  But, hopefully, it shouldn't be any smaller.  But, I will be getting a new one next year... my old one has seen enough use.

Do they not make enough profit the hardware???

The inflated pspgo retail price could be there to give retailers a better cut of the HW.

On top of that, memory cards have really good margin. They could be selling pspgo with memory cards and PSN cards.

Retailers should figure out how to make this work for them. If they were smart, they would download the games through a store console, and upload it to the psp for a 5$ charge or something.

In this way they can free up lots of SW shelving area for other things.

It's stupid to boycott this issue.
