Day one for me
While I believe from a technical stand point this game is probably pretty darn good. Everything I have seen screams lack of consumer polish. The fade to white when getting in/out of a vehicle. The rigid type movement. Also I would be happier to see 20-30fps and get near double the amount of objects on the screen for distance. What I'm mostly hoping for is this to set a fire under R* in regards to the view that GTACW had. Instead making the next GTA?Wars have a proper 3rd person view.

That's actually because of the DS itself. It has an on screen polygon count limit that the PS1, Saturn, and the N64 didn't have. So draw distance can only be so far, even if the polygons in the total level are really high.

Yea, where the hell did $6 million come from? The average Ubisoft DS game costs $.79m - $1.6m.
Even if C.O.P. The Recruit was 150% above average, which is an exaggerated figure within itself, it would still be only $4 million.

Which would still mean the Imagine money is not just going to fund HD games.

I heard something about that. It's certainly possible that COP is hitting that problem. Though there could be other techniques to hide that. less models on screen at a time and more billboards. Then again extra billboards means more ram.

But they still apparently are topping the overall polygon count.
