Forums - Sales - Will Wii fall behind both PS3 and X360 on the week ending 24 September?

Something that has been unthinkable over the previous months but can the Wii be outsold by both competitors on the week when Halo 3 ODST releases?

For the week ending 5th

144,166 151,955 254,135 550,256
119,998 67,939 170,893 358,830
70,305 19,628 92,037 181,970
87,627 5,505 69,064 162,196
36,192 22,551 54,460 113,203

PS3 greatly outsold both competitors and will enjoy good sales in the following weeks from the recent price cut.

Wii at the moment seems to be selling at stable levels and there are no big releases planned for September which could turn the tables around.

However X360 is only 20k behind in worldwide sales after small price drop on elite model and is going to have it's biggest game of 2009 released on 22/23 of September in USA and Others. Will it be able to outsell Wii worldwide for that week ?

No. PS3 will have fallen back behind Wii by then.

360 might, I just have no idea whether a Halo spin off is something that gives a significant boost or not.

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

ps3 - yes
360 - 50/50, not sure how much of a h/w boost halo is at this stage, surely most people who like it already have a 360.

Very doubtful.

It only because of a price cut. Let's talk after christmas

hum, interesting never noticed that Wii was so "low"

also, remember Batman was released very recently so it is, in a way, participating to the PS360 boost !

Neverthless, whatever happen during these fews weeks

this is non event compared to the WW sales difference and considering the Wii price cut coming ....

Time to Work !

I think the PS3 can outsell the Wii ending the 24th. But the 360, not to sure. If your going to buy Halo 3 : Odst, then most likely you already have a 360. Who is a fan of Halo but doesn't have a 360? I still hope that both hd consoles will outsell the Wii though.

Who's the best Pac, Nas, and Big. Just leave it to that.

PLAYSTATION®3 is the future.....NOW.......B_E_L_I_E_V_E

lol anyway but even with price cuts yet selling the same amount as before wow the wii is amazing...

can't wait to see how much the ps3 drops by it probably be like 50000 more than the wii but then the week after it will have dropped to 50k below wii...my predictions

Just because you want something to happen, doesn't mean it will.

You're going to keep making these awful predictions for the rest of the year, and every single time they're going to be wrong LOLZ

Well ioi said that the PS3 should be ahead of the Wii through all of September and probably longer. It's hard to say about the X360 though, depends if Wii sales keep going down.
