@Reasonable

You see, I do not experience satisfaction from creating my own levels in things.
I do however experience satisfaction from winning a good battle, gun to gun.

Off topic... I'm getting really sick of people bringing up the fact that what I say is subjective.
I swear, every point of conjecture I make, there's someone saying "that's subjective blah blah blah" I never claim objectivity!

Best to stick to 'I prefer' vs 'is more satisfying' type statements then.  I like this site because it tends to always call people out on subjective vs factual comments.

I can perfectly understand you find something like Halo 3 more satisfying than LBP, and wouldn't try and convince you otherwise.  However I can also understand, because it's true for me too, someone finding LBP more satisfying.

Satisfation, enjoyment, etc. are all subjective preferences.

True, but I think you're forgetting my actual wording. I did use "I prefer" statements!

"While little big planet is entertaining, it's not the kind of game I would buy or play all the time if I had a Ps3. Battling on Halo 3 brings me much more satisfaction."

I said "me". I never said it was true for anyone else!

"LBP is far more entertaining, Halo 3 and most other shooting games have the satisfaction of the kill."

I said "the satisfaction of the kill". Never said it was a greater satisfaction, just a different kind, that I personally prefer. I even agree that LBP is more entertaining - to me entertainment has to do with the length you can play something. LBP would keep me entertained for longer amount of time. Halo 3 is very satisfying when I'm in the mood, but after and hour or two it gets boring. LBP doesn't get as boring.

You're quite right!  Re-reading your original post I can see that.  First time I've ever misread a post - had to happen sometime I guess!

I don't know what we're all banging on about.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

I downloaded the demo (but didn't play it yet) yesterday. I'll give it a shot sometime today. Who knows? I may want to buy it, too. A year ago, this was a day one purchase for me. For whatever reason, my tune changed just before it released. Anyway, Sony needs to release MORE demos on the PSN. It may have helped LBP's sales (and yes, I know it was still a huge commercial success) last year.

I felt the opposite, any minute interest I had in LBP vaporized after I played the demo. Platformers really aren't my thing. Guess even LBP couldn't change that.

"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

congrats & welcome in the univers of LBP. have fun with it

have fun ^_^

You bought Resistance 2 over LBP?

And you DON'T regret it?

I'm scared.

Ah! I almost did the same thing, actually, and I wouldn't have regretted it either. We both know that I greatly enjoyed R2.

I got LBP first thanks to some of my PSN friends though. They kept bugging me about it, so I just caved. Bought R2 a few weeks later.

I thought you didn't enjoy R2's campaign, only the multiplayer, and you said it was far worse than RFOM? I would have to agree with you on that. IMO, LBP >> RFOM >>>>> R2.

I finally played the demo. Holy shit, this game is good! Why didn't anybody tell me?

enjoy. but without others its value is the @#$%...

You just bought one hell of a game.
