This was actually confirmed a few weeks ago but yeah its great news. Also announed a few days ago was a 5th Rambo film and there will be a new Alien film, a prequel to the original directed by Ridley Scott himself.

Cool.
The Pirates universe is very cool. I hope they take their time with this one and make it no longer than 2 hours.
I love the Pirates trilogy. I can't wait for a third, but for some reason when I heard about this earlier I thought they said 2010.
Now I'm sad. =(

What are these numbers? They can't be budgets because no movies* cost that much. (especially not The Hobbit 400mill since the LOTR trilogy was quite cheap).
Are those perdicted US box office numbers?
* yes yes, I know there's a few movies that cost $200 million.
@Slimebeast. Predicted revenue I'm guessing? Surely America only though, because otherwise The Hobbit should be 800M+.
Anyway, hopefully they get rid of the chick (I'm pretty sure she didn't want to do another one?) because her character was getting really grating.

I think Soriku is talking about the boxoffice numbers.
His claim that Batman 3 won't make 400M is silly (if he means what I think he does), as The Dark Knight made 533M.
^Ok, good.
I don't like the Caribbean series. I dont like when childish big budget movies overtake the market. Gives less resources to serious movies like 300, Kingdom of Heaven, Bioshock, God of War.
I can't wait for The Hobbit. $800 million ww revenue would be fantastic.
