Like CGI has stated already, this holiday season is holding some great games for all consoles, and let's not forget that the gaming media has a very short attention span for GotY games. I'm thinking that a Holiday release (yes, that could be Uncharted...) will get the "prize".

Oh wait... I forgot about Scribblenauts. We already have a winner.

anyways back on topic, I didnt say NSMBWii was going to be bad, it will most likely be Wii's best game in 2009 or maybe 2010 if it gets delayed. However im pretty sure that Uncharted 2 will be GOTY

But TBH the real chance is with MW2 & Gran Turismo 5

if FF13 was out this holiday though NO OTHER GAME WOULD HAVE STOOD A CHANCE!

I agree that Uncharted 2 will probably be GOTY.  I don't agree if you think that makes it "better" than other games.

BTW there are over 50 different game of the year awards, one in IGN, Gamespot, Spike TV (being the biggest one) and etc. So maybe NSMBWii will win some, but majority of them will select Uncharted 2

They will most likely give the GOTY award to MW2 just because it's multiplat and they don't want to piss off 360 fans. They did the same thing with GTA 4 (which IMO is overrated) instead of giving the award to MGS4. This year, even though Uncharted 2 deserves to win from the way it's looking, MW2 will most likely win GOTY.

you just forgot one thing lol, but yeah, go to school.....get HWK (thats optional), come home, watch pokemon at 4 (or 5 was it) then play PS1 (Gran Turismo, tomb raider, crash bandicoot, FF7) & watch Cartoon Network/play pokemon at night!

ODST is just an expansion to Halo 3. The rumours I'm hearing is that it's underwhelming aswell but MS dont like there big games getting less than stellar reviews so i still expect it to get great review scores.

Sadly.... I can totally see this happen... Going with the biggest Multiplat just to not get on the badside of either fanboy circles...
