Forums - Nintendo - So I got Scribblenauts...

yea but thats because you couldn't possibly expect ALL MASKS included.

Also i think the game is really about teaching kids new words, its not meant to be so complicated at all. Its hugely flexible but its limited for this reason.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Railgun does exist! And it's fucking awesome, I can attest to that. Saved my ass in a couple levels

I had not thought of that yet. This shall prove interesting indeed.

@Megaman
This game doesn't really expand your vocabulary much. It rewards knowledge rather than teaching new things. It does strongly encourage creative problem solving.

I still can't get past the guards in the level where I must steal the starite without hurting them. there's another one which I'm not sure what to do, it's one where there are some cars, a cow and a cook. I'm not sure if the cow dies I fail, or if the cook dies, but whenever the cow dies, the cars run over the cook and I fail the level

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

I don't know the first one you are talking about, but the second one I do. If the cow dies, you fail. After you work around that it gets a lot easier.

You fail when the cook dies, the cow doesn't matter. What I did was handcuff myself to the cook and carry him to the rightmost part, then summon a column and leave him handcuffed there. Then, ride the cow forward, the trucks move, the cow may be run over, but nothing happens, they reach their houses and you get the starite

I've won the level with the cow dead. It's the cook what matters

Thats weird. If I just chop the cow up it has failed instantly on me. The game has done a few weird things like that though. Of course some of my solutions get kinda weird.

Maybe you can't kill the cow, but if it dies by natural means it's fine

yeah, I think I can't kill it. once I have put the cook inside a car and killed the cow with a gun, maybe I can call a car, ride the cow until the cook kills it then quickly put him inside the car. I also tried calling a "livestock truck" but I couldn't put the cow inside it lol

Well, then do what I did, get the cook out of the way and then get the cow run over

I put the chef in one truck, put another one behind it, and rode the cow across the line. If there was only one truck the cow would occasionally freak out and not push the truck.
