How about giving us some evidence of that? Vgchartz disagrees (and I think the numbers for PS3 were recently corrected):

That's almost 2.5 Xbox 360s for every PS3 in France (or 5 Xbox 360s for every 2 PS3s if you don't like fractions)...

The new price was advertised from a big retailer this weekend in Germany. So I would think this week (15.8-22.8) will be bigger than last for the PS3 in Germany.

I know 2 people want to buy a PS3 as gaming machine AND blue ray player. Both said way before 399 € is their price tag. One of them will it buy next month (after pay day) the other most likely at Christmas. Both don't care about BC.

I know 3 people waiting on the release of MGS4 before theyre going to make the jump, but they weren't sure about the price, up until now.

I also know 2 others who are waiting on a PES:08 PS3 bundle for 400 euro.

Nobody seems to care about BC. They all have PS2's anyway.

If you look the sale rate, the PS3 is over the Xbox360 EXCEPT for the 23/08/07-12/10/07 period that corresponds to Halo3 release/price cut/Bioshock/Elite.

The Xbox360 momentum in PAL is past now.

It is obvious french gamers were waiting for a PS3 price drop.
It is why the PS3 was blocked at 30k.
This week sales figures will show it to you.
Except even bigger sales with the PES bundle coming soon.
(French dont care about Halo/MGS/FF, they care about PES)

I think you need to do some maths.

its about 3 360's for every 2 PS3's. And isnt that Halo 3 launch week? A bit of a crap analysis if it is. Take the sales from the last 3 months and then it will give you a better picture.

Oh i see, you were doing lifetime sales so far, well in that case the 360 has had TWO christmas' in Europe and the PS3 hasn't had any, the 360 has been on sale about a year and a half longer. If PS3 was released in France at the same time as the 360 it would be at about 900,000 to 1,000,000 already. Face it, the PS3 owns Europe (not counting the wii).

Well, someone had already replied to Wojtas, besides we don't have separate data for Poland as we do for France. Your claim that "PS3 > 360" in France was disprovable, so I replied to it.

Excuses about the 360 being launched earlier don't cut it, and they certainly aren't enough for doing big bold claims such as the one you did. Go and tell that to the 3rd party developers who are selling lousy quantities of software on the PS3, and you'll get laughed at. Sony screwed up (delayed) their worldwide launch, screwed up the European launch even more, and now they have to live with the consequences.

Regarding Christmas, there's no guarantee that the PS3 will outsell the 360 in France, so until then, let's just wait until we get sales numbers instead of making wild claims which may be true or false.

It is quite obvious, the PS3 with no games, with a expensive price and 2 others consoles released is doing about the same thing than the Xbox360.

Whatever, If you look during all this year, the PS3 was in front except since the 23 august 2007.

the 360 released in like october or november so it had a christmas staight away, in the first seven months of the 360 launch it had a christmas boost, in the first seven months of the PS3 launch it did not have a christmas boost, the aligned launches show the 360 slightly ahead by a few thousand units even with a christmas.

So the PS3 is tracking the 360 so far in France even without a christmas boost.
