The things I listed fall under 3 (in the definition below from dictionary.com). I was talking about broken promises, in my opinion there have been more broken promises from Nintendo and Sony than from Microsoft. Feel free to keep trying to spin what I've said but unless Super Smash Brothers Brawl was a launch title or any of the other things I've said actually came true then I stand by it (except for one comment, see below).
Oh and I take back the "wow" comment, I double checked all the statements I've made and that comment wasn't made about all launch games, it was made about the graphics for Twilight Princess on the Wii. The game looks good but unless I'm mistaken it doesn't look significantly better than the Gamecube version that it would wow people. Oh something funny... While checking that fact I noticed Perrin described the Wii as having a "Ferrari under the hood", LOL.
lie1

[lahy] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation noun, verb, lied, ly·ing.
| 1. | a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive; an intentional untruth; a falsehood. |
| 2. | something intended or serving to convey a false impression; imposture: His flashy car was a lie that deceived no one. |
| 3. | an inaccurate or false statement. |
| 4. | the charge or accusation of lying: He flung the lie back at his accusers. |
Lets see
PR and people related to company stupidity
Sony - second job, 5 m with no games, we got no problems
MS - RROD is vocal minority problem, the wii is less than a Xbox, guitar hero 2 song price is ok (more "interactive" than itunes), disc scratching is a lie
Nintendo - September surprise, Reggie kicking ass
Overpriced crap
MS - 50 for a wireless PS2-like controller, 40 for a controller that was 20-25 last generation, memory card for 30-50, 100 for a 20 gb HD, Wireless adapter for 100, +10-20 extra for crap with Halo writen on it, micro keyboard more expensive than a keyboard(30), HD-DVD player for 180, webcam for 40, prices on wallpapers and avatars for live (I do not know the correct name, they are kind of skins or themes), paying (whatever the price) for unlockables and extras in your game
Sony - PS3 itself (it may be worth it, but they are charging for things I do not want), 25 bucks for a horizontal stand, multitap (price does not matter, it is an abomination), DVD remote control (forgot the price), 15 for memory card adapters (I can not even plug and play), 50 for a controller without rumble and less than average waggle, PS2 HD overpriced and useless (for most games)
Nintendo - Nes and Genesis games are overpriced. Controllers, controllers and controllers, I can understand 40 for the wiimote, but 20 for nunchuk is bullshit. Classic controller would be ok with a did not need a fuckin wiimote for it. The worst of all is not from Nintendo, but it is their fault. BATTERIES.
Reliability
MS - RROD, disc scratch, backward ytilibitapomc, want to play your old Xbox games? F*** you (play it from the beggining), the worst 3rd party acessories support (I mean using HDs, memory cards and other PC like acessories)
Sony - disc reading errors, hit it and it is dead, soft controllers, on PSX and PS2, too many PS2 versions, SKU bullshit for PS3
Nintendo - short wires (GC), memory cards on controller for N64, Wiiconnect 24 issues, no wired internet option.

We both know that lie is not the word that describes this stuff, but you are choosing the word with the most negative meaning you can while skirting the true definition. If anything your choice of words is a lie, as your purpose is to maximize the perceived deception is intentional. Because thats what people associate with the word "lie". But its not what happened here.
To characterize this stuff as "broken promises" is so melodramatic. I mean really, did reggie look you in the eye and promise to buy you a pony for your birthday? Or did they make a public statement of intent and then not live up to it? Lets get real these are companies trying to make money.
But seriously, enough with the spin, the drama, and the deception already. Nobody here is saying Nintendo is a saint, but you came in here grasping at whatever you could to smear Nintendo because they delayed some games, and launched the console 2 days late....to borrow a phrase..."whoop'deee friggin'doo". As if those things compare to outright lies to the customer, but you haven't even addressed the comparison yet because its a losing proposition. And you will continue to avoid that comparison because you know it doesn't add up.
Or perhaps you would care to explain how withholding the worst failure rates in industry history from your consumers who are screaming bloody murder and telling you something is wrong and asking for your help while you ignore them is even remotely comparable to the sum Nintendo's "Broken Promises" which apparently amount to some delayed games, a comment corrected the next day, and a failed attempt to make the console region free (which is more than Microsoft tried to do I might add).
I would love to hear the explanation on that, afterall you did say "Sony = Nintendo >>> Microsoft" so clearly you think that is the case.

Sorry but 600 is cheap for what you get, lot of money that is true but then you can say that
700$ for a Ferrari is expensive too.
And I don't get why you call it a lie :s;

People use this argument over and over again without realizing something very important about markets.
Electronics are not valued by the price of the components inside them. They are valued by the price the market will bear -- what people are willing to pay for what the device does. That's why Apple can sell you $250 of electronics for $400 as an iPhone, and why Sony is having trouble selling $600 worth of electronics for $500 as a PS3. Perceived value IS value in a market.
And before people start picking nits about the prices I quoted, I'm just making the point, chill out about the specifics.
As far as Nintendo's "broken promises", pretty much everything that was listed was a delay of some sort. You can call that a broken promise if you want, it doesn't make it as bad as Sony insulting the intelligence of its customers by trying to pass off the Immersion lawsuit as "rumble is last gen" or "it won't work with motion sensing, even though it works in the Wii Remote."
We're talking about honesty here.
Q: Why doesn't the SIXAXIS have rumble?
A: Because we're currently in pending litigation with Immersion over the rumble technology. When the lawsuit is settled, we will revisit the idea of putting rumble in the PS3 controllers.
That's all they ever had to say! Instead, they insult the competition AND their customers with a straight-faced lie. Can't you see the difference between that and a delay?
Uhh the PS3 is a value @$600. You cant just discount the value of a blu ray player. Cheapest blu ray player is prob close to $400 , so $200 for a game system > XBox! That is called value. Even if you wanted to totally discount the value of blu ray, the PS3 is already catching the XBox is price. (free online is more value added vs the XBox too)

But how much is a Blu-ray player worth to someone who doesn't own an HDTV?

If it is true that their will be games in the future that needs a lot more space than an DVD I think it will be worthfull.

Like I've already said, it's worth exactly what people are willing to pay for it, no more and no less.
