Sorry but 600 is cheap for what you get, lot of money that is true but then you can say that
And I don't get why you call it a lie :s; |
People use this argument over and over again without realizing something very important about markets.
Electronics are not valued by the price of the components inside them. They are valued by the price the market will bear -- what people are willing to pay for what the device does. That's why Apple can sell you $250 of electronics for $400 as an iPhone, and why Sony is having trouble selling $600 worth of electronics for $500 as a PS3. Perceived value IS value in a market.
And before people start picking nits about the prices I quoted, I'm just making the point, chill out about the specifics.
As far as Nintendo's "broken promises", pretty much everything that was listed was a delay of some sort. You can call that a broken promise if you want, it doesn't make it as bad as Sony insulting the intelligence of its customers by trying to pass off the Immersion lawsuit as "rumble is last gen" or "it won't work with motion sensing, even though it works in the Wii Remote."
We're talking about honesty here.
Q: Why doesn't the SIXAXIS have rumble?
A: Because we're currently in pending litigation with Immersion over the rumble technology. When the lawsuit is settled, we will revisit the idea of putting rumble in the PS3 controllers.
That's all they ever had to say! Instead, they insult the competition AND their customers with a straight-faced lie. Can't you see the difference between that and a delay?
