^Something was mentioned but nothing has been confirmed that I know of. If you find a for sure statement then that would be awesome.

I'm pretty sure they said it officially a week or two ago.
Damnit, I wish I saved links for future use.

Does anyone know this for sure?

^^ I'm sure we'll know more around TGS.

And lose the pre-order money people made at $250.

What a ridiculous rumor, how can people even give attention to that?

Fail for posting it here, this rumor is so bogus and clearly troll bloggers made up.

A rumor where they say price dop will come before this Xmas while would be trollish would at least be believable for some, but this is just ridiculous.

Price drop will come eventually but all companies overcharge the admission price until demands drop.

hell, the wii still with it's outrageous big price (IMO) because people keep buying.

Price drops are influenced by diminishing demand, which means only after launch a price drop could be even discussed since there was no test on demand yet on said price range.

And sony can charge $250 for the pspgo, because the people interest on psp games that can't afford can still go buy the 3000. They aren't market share sensitive like they were with the ps3, so the price range they choose is the right business decision for now.

^Wishful thinking, cool down.

@advent
eh I couldn't find the news. I guess it's still not official...

Darn I was hoping it was lol. I did a little looking myself but all that I could find was dated around June 5.

the PSP Go looks less tempting when you can say..."Just $50 more and you can get yourself a Slim PS3"

Sony needs to cut the price down before its launched or else itll give costumers a sour taste when they first see it, and its all about first impressions.

Its likely they will keep the launch price until Christmas.

Say, December 1st... $200
