Forums - Sony - NIS: 'exciting news' coming soon on PS3 RPG front

Nippon Ichi, publisher of popular niche JRPG franchises such as Disgaea, has announced that some 'exciting' PS3 JRPG news is coming soon.  When questioned on the PS Blog "Do you guys have an PS3 JRPG in the works that is not D2 like your previous two PS3 JRPG?", NIS America publicist Nao Zook teased "You’ll hear some exciting news soon".

What this could be is anyone's guess.  Perhaps a follow up to last year's smash hit SRPG Disgaea 3?  Or a confirmation of Atelier Rorona headed to the US? Or maybe some more info on the PS3 exclusive JRPG Last Rebellion?

With TGS right around the corner, I don't think we'll have too long to wait!

Cool. But no more fan service crossovers, plz.

Since this is NISA it is almost definitely Atelier Rorona localization or Last Rebellion.

Just IMHO but considering most of us don't know Japanise it's better news if they anounce western localisation than new ps3 japan only game :D

I agree to a point, but these days games are so regularly localized that it seems an inevitability and I don't care as much about the announcement of it as I once did.  Some games are unlikely but Atelier games have a history of making it over here so I always assumed this one would as well.

NIS is very good about sending games across and very good at making games and one of the few developers to have games with consistently good dubbing. This is exciting.

Anything from NIS is always welcomed from me.
