DQX is probably a 2012 game, so it won't matter for this year's sales.

Honestly, I never thought the Wii would end up head to head with the PS3 this year. I knew sales were going to take a dive, but this is just outrageous. Meanwhile Nintendo is still relying on sequels or expansions to keep momentum up, and so far it only helped for 2-3 weeks. We will see how the Holidays end up, but I seriously expect Wii and PS3 to be really close, which was unimaginable last year.

Dragon Quest X for Wii will do INSANE numbers. Something like 1.5 million first week and these are low expectations. Don't know the release-date, though.

I'm not positive, but I think someone from SE claimed that they wouldn't release DQ and FF in the same fiscal year.

It was said that, but apparently they don't care anymore. DQIX released in July. FFXIII releases in December in Japan. Not only the same fiscal year, but the same year in gregorian terms. DQX won't be releasing for a WHILE though.

Wow, the Media Create have some interesting differences.

MGS4 cheaper version is absent, but HSG5 makes a big comeback and Pro Yakuu 6 rebounds as well.

The DS is a beast, I'm questioning SE decision on moving DQX to Wii instead of putting it on DS. I think they'll possibly move development from Wii back to DS, would be the smart thing to do.

I think the Wii will edge out the PS3 in Japan 09', primarily due to its holiday selling power (not so much WF+ / NSMB). FF13 will no doubt move a ton of hardware, though...

I guess we'll need to see how well the PS3 sells after the slim spike wears off (Sept - Nov). If it's anywhere near the Wii, it'll probably take the year. Pretty shocking.

Will they even need a 2nd shipment right now? I doubt they'll sell 90k this week so I don't think a 2nd shipment has gone out yet.

Well, I don't think it'll fall too much. September and October have a very steady lineup of titles. Some small, some niche, some big, but a steady list nonetheless.

That is why I asked. If they are expecting to ship more soon, that isn't a good thing.
