4. PS3 future library impressive (Charted 2, GT5, Guardian)
5. Fable III announcment and features
6. Bethesda + id merger
7. Wii library weaker than I thought (when u consider so many big projects should have been revealed for the market leader by now)

1. Nintendo's return to dominance.
2. A MS console beating a Sony console.
3. Sony going from 1st to last.
4. FFXIII mulit-plat.

Oh wait, you said this year......sorry the above gets me going, every year.....

GT5 releasing this year with GT PSP.

And also Persona 3 Portable was a surprise, I seriously wasn't expecting it.

The PS3 slim and PSP Go were the most amazing surprises of the year.
