Ya right that's why I got my acc here. It's fun to discuss either espec when you are at work and cant play XD But still we dont have to forget about the joy of actually playing the games wether one has a framrate which is about 5 fps stronger than on the other system (as an example given)

Just was a point I made up because the discussion before headed into a direction where it could not really satisfy either one of you, did it? ;)

Sheesh, for a guy claiming I need to read, you sure must do a lot of skimming through my posts. You've been arguing with someone, who up until know, agreed, for the most part, with you. I said in my first post that GOWIII would be a system seller, just not a big one. It will spike sales, FF will have a BIG sales boost. Do you compute now or will you continue to argue a point in speculation with me...?

I'm all for a good debate, just make sure you stay on topic this time. The sales of a game I'm anticipating has nothing to do with this thread, nor do I care what it sells.

WHY DO YOU THINK FFXIII WILL BE A BIIIIIG SALES BOOST AND GOWIII ONLY A MINOR SPIKE WHEN THEY WILL SELL ROUGHLY THE SAME AMOUNT IN THE TERRITORIES IN THIS TOPIC

Final Fantasy is one of the biggest selling franchises in Japan, GOW is not in America.

 

Fair enough. That makes sense.

The numbers will also be skewed so we will never truly know how many units GOW3 moves.

Since a lot of people will be buying a PS3 this December with GOW3 in mind. It would be easier to say how much it spikes if it released before Xmas

You got to be kidding with this claim. So we are counting the consoles sold prior the game's release now to define a system seller? I know a friend who bought PS3 for FFXIII when it was announced. Are you saying that's counting as a system FFXIII moved?

With such claim, we will NEVER know if a game is not a system seller. We can always claim that players who are interested in certain game have bought the system long before the game is released.



MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

with the increasing slim userbase and Gow fans...2 mn minimum within a month is a sure shot. Not to be surprised reaching the same feat in 1 week.

what sony needs is to showcase a series of KRATOS's chaotic trailers, limited gore but more action packed sequences, all which is destined for the slim which ONLY DOES EVERYTHING, Same HALO 3 hype of sept 2007 would come up...damn sure.

Comparing Japanese sales to American sales without taking into account that THE UNITED STATES IS A MUCH BIGGER COUNTRY THAN JAPAN, AND HAS A MUCH BIGGER VIDEO GAME MARKET?


US population = 300 million

Japanese population = 120 million

Do you know what that means? It means that 1 IN 40 JAPANESE PEOPLE BOUGHT FFX, WHEREAS 1 IN 120 AMERICANS BOUGHT GOW; FFX WAS THREE TIMES AS POPULAR IN JAPAN AS GOW WAS IN THE US! Selling 3 million in Japan is equivelant to selling 8 million in the US, that is why FF is a system seller in Japan, but GOW is not a system seller (at least not a comparable one) in the US.
