if we lynch someone, will their identity be revealed?

for example, X got lynched. It turned out he was insane. Or will you just say "X got lynched. He was a cop"

Bah. I'm just going to vote for you hatmoza. I do think you're the cop, but if we find out you're insane or not, then we can see what WoW was and it would put the rest to rest... And there's no stopping you getting lynched, anyways.

We do find out if the cop was insane in the morning, right?

We didn't do that last time. I believe Gnizmo was an insane cop, and we had to figure that out for ourselves. (There were two cops last game, yes).

Well, I wouldn't have a problem in revealing it, but since we didn't do so on the last round, then so be it, I won't tell this time

So there is two cops! And I now believe insomniac... but are you guys really going to risk losing the sane one? (even though it's kinda obvious I'm insane at this point)

Let us both live and do investigations that would pin one of us down and and make sure you guys have the right one at least....

Well.. if we no you're insane... than we could just go with the opposite of what you say and you suddenly become usefull.

Where did I say there were 2 cops? I mean, can't there be 1 cop and I not revealing if he's sane or not (or the converse, revealing he's sane)?

If there's one cop, I can assure you (err the players) I'm sane! But then we go back to square one where insomniac is mafia and he was lying from the start.
