Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within wasn't a bad movie. It just wasn't Final Fantasy. I think the movie would have actually done better at the box office without Final Fantasy in the title. Saying the movie was from the creator of Final Fantasy would have better. That way it would have piqued the interest of Final Fantasy fans without giving them certain expectations for how the film should go. It would have also been able to avoid the "based on a video game" stigma.

I gave you my view however due to story like and dislike being a matter of opinion and the fact that there have been no major jrpg's adapted into big screen movies there is no definitive evidence which is what you seem to want. Which I should add is ludacris in a debate subjected around personal taste.

Now I'm asking you to reply to the questions I asked you. Name me jrpg's that would adapt well into the big screen and be appealing to a wide audience. Are you saying that I am wrong when I suggest that Fable and Fallout 3 could be adapted into better movies than jrpg's?

This isn't a debate.  This isn't even an argument.

You said something and I asked for proof.  Either you show proof or you don't.

I have no interest in your questions or in having a debate.  I'm interested in you supporting your opinion or admitting you were talking out of your arse.  One is as good as the next.

You seem to have a hard time understanding my posts so let me break it down for you. There is no such thing as proof for an opinion. Did that help or should I repeat again? Why are you on a forum if you don't want to have a debate? If you just want to speak your mind without looking at another view point then go make a blog that you can act all self rightous in.

Every jrpg I have ever played from Golden Sun to Fire Emblem (although this is technically an srpg) has had an enjoyable story but never anything that I could see adapting well to the big screen. That is my opinion, if you disagree good for you, counter my argument with jrpg's that in your opinion have strong stories.

I personally like the color black more than yellow and fps's more than rts's, next thing I know you will be asking me for 'proof' that the color black is better than yellow

I love AC as well, brought so much nostalgia. The original release had several holes in the story, but with the complete edition, everything makes a lot more sense.

I think the bolded part is what WoW is looking for (but probably more than just that).  He's not looking for proof of your opinion, he's just looking for you to back it up with something.

I also hate it when someone posts some opinion, and then they think it is the responsibility of the person disagreeing with him/her to provide proof otherwise.  It is up to the original poster (the one with the opinion to start with) to back their opinion up.  If someone asks for proof or "back it up" and the original poster does not, we just disregard his/her opinion.  If the original poster backs up his/her opinion with something, then it is up to the disagreeing party to respond.  Isn't that how formal debate works?
