i actually liked Spirits Within alot lot more.
this one is.... cloud and his friend fighting some emotional girly men. its like a fangirl's movie or something.

Spirits Within wasn't a terrible Sci-Fi movie, it was just a terrible Final Fantasy movie.

The fight scenes were mostly good but every thing else was down right horrible. I could probably write a better script than what they had. Even die hard FF7 fans couldn't explain the story to me in a coherent manner. I think in general jrpg's have very weak generalized stories that do not translate well into the big screen. wrpg's on the other hand would probably have an easier time being made into a good movie.

And on that note, after seeing the live action ODST trailer, please give me my Halo movie someone.

And what evidence do you have to support your opinion?

Notice I said in general. Please show me a jrpg that isn't full of quirky japanese humor, has a strong, interesting and unpredictable story line, great dialogue, convincing characters and a fleshed out universe. I'm sure you could name me 2 or 3 but overall the showing is weak, even for AAA title rpg's. Now take wrpg's like Fable or Fallout 3 and I can easily see a powerful adaptation into the big screen for both games with themes that can relate to world wide audiences.

So your response is that you have no evidence?

I asked you to list some jrpg's but you didn't so I guess I was right.

I so do love your dismissive debating tactics WoW

The definitive evidence that video games turn people into mass murderers

I tried to get my friends to watch it once and that didn't last very long.

Love this movie...!!

I asked you to support the point you made in your first post which you still haven't done.  Now, can you support your opinion or not?

Mendicate Bias, you have the burden of proof if you made the statement... I don't know why you think you're entitled to make WoW debunk a statement that hasn't even been supported.

I gave you my view however due to story like and dislike being a matter of opinion and the fact that there have been no major jrpg's adapted into big screen movies there is no definitive evidence which is what you seem to want. Which I should add is ludacris in a debate subjected around personal taste.

Now I'm asking you to reply to the questions I asked you. Name me jrpg's that would adapt well into the big screen and be appealing to a wide audience. Are you saying that I am wrong when I suggest that Fable and Fallout 3 could be adapted into better movies than jrpg's?

This isn't a debate.  This isn't even an argument.

You said something and I asked for proof.  Either you show proof or you don't.

I have no interest in your questions or in having a debate.  I'm interested in you supporting your opinion or admitting you were talking out of your arse.  One is as good as the next.

I was disappointed in FFVII AC because it seemed too Dragon-ball-Z-ish. By that I mean over the top, ridiculous action. When I saw that, I dismissed it as another bad FF movie.
