I really do not understand this. Starfox has allways been very popular and sold well. It had two games on the gamecube, so why 3 years in is there still no word of a new starfox game. Also, f-zero, I know its a much less popular title. but cmon those games were amazing. I just cant believe these two franchises are being completely ignored by the big N. Hell we even got a new fire emblem. I think we will see news on a new starfox 100% for sure by the next E3.I just cant see them ignoring it any loonger than that. Your thoughts?

I NEED a new F-Zero. Bad.

Nintendo won't announce anything until it's near completion, IMO.

I think Nintendo is trying to come up with a really good idea for both games, they can just port it into the wii and add wagling controls and IR pointing like every other developer, they must do something different and make it near perfection, you cant control F-Zero like Mario Kart becasuse it requires more precision and speed, so they need something to fix this, probably Wm+ can fix it already who knows, and Fzero should be controlled like The Sky Crawlers, but they cant just copy the control scheme

Rom is right, both franchises need revamps (like metroid). Their last sales were not impressif.

weve had fire emblem because nintendo have a fire emblem team. (intellegent software). but there is no star fox team or f zero team. theres a team for zelda, 3D mario, 2D mario, paper mario, pikmin, mario kart, new IPs and theres (or was) 2 teams for metroid ect. hence why those are the games out or coming to the wii. Nintendo continues to work withoutside devs making stuff like punchout, batallion wars, wario land shake it so theres still a chance that both star fox and f zero could come to wii. but looking to the future it seams nintendo is mostly working with outside devs on new IPs. maybe if other M does well nintendo will work more with big third party devs. the best chance of getting star fox or f zero anytime soon is if thats what retro has been working on

and I did think Assault and Cammand were great. While SF64 was epic.

Adventures......kinda sucked. But it was nice seeing Fox all fuzzy and adorable. :3

Are there any other main franchises I am missing here. I have a feeling im forgetting a few...

the only other main one i can think of is kirby. Now kirby does have a team and according to nintendo's release list kirby is still being worked on but whether it ever comes out who knows
