300k is the worst case for it.

It just sold 150k... without any huge games.... in ONE WEEK.

I have to think 300k is an extreme worst case and will sell much more than that in December.

That's why it's the worst case

About 70-80% of Wii sales.

If the Wii doesnt get a pricecut, i could see PS3 > Wii in Japan this December.

GT5 + FF13 are a LOT to compete with in a single month...

Lets just say that the PS3 will pwn in December...I'm sure people in Japan celebrate Christmas :P

A lot of PS3s will move due to FF, GT5 and the Holiday season.

So does NSMB Wii and Wii Fit +, both of which are bigger than your mentioned games,

Realtively speaking, GT isn't too big in Japan.

Both are sequels to games already released on the Wii. We all know sequels dont sell as well as the first in the series on the platform.

GT5 and FFXIII have yet to grace the PS3.

There was a new super mario bros on Wii?

Problem with that is. Both the games you mentioned are games with long legs, not huge sales straight away. Plus, one of them will be releasing November, so any week 1 console boost wont be during December.

Wii Fit + im guessing will only sell to current Wii Fit owners... it wont be a system seller.

We are yet to see a full GT game on PS3, but GT games are mixed with big openings and good legs.

Final Fantasy 13, is Final Fantasy 13. Look what the DEMO for this game did for PS3 during a relatively quiet month.

Worst case: 500k
Best case: 1 million (why not?)

Btw GT5 is big but not huge in JP. I'd expect it to be huge in EU.

GT5 is big in Japan.... It's a bigger franchise than the current top selling PS3 game in Japan right now (MGS4)

i think we will see 1 million consoles sold this month, in october we'll see 500k and november will be something like 600k, but in december, with GT5 and FFXIII....i think it'll surpass the million consoles in the worst case, gt5 can move easily 500k worldwide, and FFXIII can move 500k in japan only.

i'm predicting 5 million from now until january 2010.
