Remember the story we posted yesterday about the chain mail going around through the PlayStation Network about maps for Modern Warfare 2 would be a timed exclusive for the Xbox 360 version of the game? Well Robert Bowling on his Twitter account has just made a post stating:

Apparently a message going around on PSN claiming exclusive #MW2 maps for Xbox 360. FTR – it’s false. Don’t believe random chain messages.

So coming from him, the maps are going to be hitting the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 at the same time when the game releases. We don’t know if if this is compmletely true of him covering up for something just to stop the whining and bitching, but we see no reason why it should be false.

Well i remember Microsoft´s spokesman did say it will release for 360 first.

Personally they could give the game to 360 and I wouldn't even notice. I hate COD.

No, he is saying there will not be exclusive maps, the DLC will still be timed exclusive

They'll probably release for 360 on a wednesday and for PS3 on a thursday. So technically they are getting them first.

Doesn't Xbox Live update 1 day before PSN does?

Was it the chain mail that scared IW/Activision? Did the Slim sales make them think twice? Or was it just that the Microsoft Spokesperson that babbled us with lies?
