Calm down with your fanboyism. This is just the first week of Slim release and a big price drop sales. That's not much different than saying the PS3 will win based on original launch sales. We can't base anything on these numbers alone.

Give it a year, see how things go from there.

@ Sardauk, where did I say that a relauch does bring anything new? I just said that it isn't seen as a relaunch, and won't be as popular as the Ps3 relaunch.

@ Seinfield, other then the title I can't see anything fanboyism at all. These are just my thoughts, and they're not very unrealistic.

This generation SONY is the one that gets the best/bigger boosts in sales with price drops or big exclusives. But it's also the one that gets the biggest DROPS in sales after that. It seems SONY consumers aren't buying in a steady pace.

I don't believe sales will keep up at this rate, but I guess will have to wait and see.

Ofcourse they won't keep up at this rate, but a 150% increase in sales in normal weeks isn't unlikely.

Yep, but will it keep it up? To finish second they need to keep it up. That's the real problem.

Once the hype is gone, everything will be back to "normal".

With all the games coming, I can't see the Ps3 sales going back to how they were.

Better wait until after the holidays before making claims like this.

Surely they will do better than 360 for this month, likely for the next and all the holiday. But we have to wait, 8 m are not a so little amount, if they are able to come to 7 m this month it would yet be a great thing.

But hey, great for sony and great for the industry, now Nintendo and MS must do all they can do, and this is soooo good for us!!
