Forums - Gaming - New SEGA Console In The Works?

It's arcade hardware, it's been known about for a while. Also, if SNK could finance consoles then obviously Sega can.

Would be interesting to see...and Sega got soo much great games could be also a good start line-up (Valkyra Chronicles,Shenmue,a new good Sonic-game,Yakuza etc) with the right price for it it maybe good a good chance.
it would be great if the new Sega console replace the new XBox (yeah i said that) :D

You know, OP, I've never seen you post anything other than SEGA console rumours.

Given that it's his first post, I would say you are correct.

Creating a thread doesn't count as a post.

EDIT: Of her 14 threads/posts, 11 are related to Sega.

If it's true, why HD-DVD when it's basically dead.

Also, this means they will stop all 3rd party support?

Cant bootleg a non publically available format.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

Just like the GD-ROM right?

I'm guessing this is just the arcade system. But if Sega did launch a new console, they are doing what I've always thought was a great idea. One of the things that shaved a couple bucks off the Wii's price (probably like $20 but still) was the fact that it doesn't play DVD movies (unmodded).

I always thought this was a great idea because everyone already has DVD players. So I figured they should keep this methodology on the new console. HD-DVD would be a great idea (for Sega or Ninty). Also there is HD VMD: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Versatile_Multilayer_Disc. Although, with the problems that Wii has with only double layered discs (and my Wii is pretty noisy when accessing them) I doubt a disc with 20 layers would be the answer. However it would be dirt cheap since it would just be a firmware issue, no additional hardware from standard DVD to play VMD (if i remember correctly).

sega doesen't go the studio's.

Gintama is the funniest show EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

Proud owner of all currnet gen consoles.

I not a big wii fan

Okita the sadist.

if sega makes a new system nintendo would seal the console wars

but no more Mario & Sonic at [insert various sports] franchise! isn't that a huge selling point for the Wii?...isn't it?
