Forums - Gaming - New SEGA Console In The Works?

Sega now is so small that doing this would do more bad thing for tham than good.
But a new entry in the console market can only do good things for us, even if i don't think they'll end up with a new console/handeld, or atleast with something as big as the big 3 have done...

CURRENTLY PLAYING: Xenoblade (Wii), Super mario 3D land (3DS), Guild Wars (PC)

Does Sega even have the financial stability to launch a new console in the current market? Hardware, online, and uhhh.......applesauce (can't think of a third thing, right now) cost a ton, nowadays.

Moneyhatting? That's a large, necessary expense (at least for all but Nintendo, and they too are moneyhatting in their own little way)

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Its not a console, NOT a handheld, they are making Games for Sony Left and Right on PSP (VC2 anyone?)

Would that make any sense?

You know, OP, I've never seen you post anything other than SEGA console rumours.

If it's true, why HD-DVD when it's basically dead.

Also, this means they will stop all 3rd party support?

Battlefield Bad Company 2 > Modern Warfare 2

Dream launch titles for a new SEGA console to compete with PS4, XBox+, and Wii HD:

Valkyria Chronicles 3
Powerstone 3
Full Auto 3
Jet Grind Radio 3
Space Channel 5 Part 3
Chu Chu Rocket 2
Virtua Fighter 6

i was a fan of sega mega drive II and 32 bit series. I wish they release a great one soon.

Sega is more likely to be bought by Nintendo than it is to get back into the console or handheld business.

It has no real IPs that are "must have" for people -- and it is doubtful it would command sufficient market share to get much third-party attention.
