They mostly suck! The reviewers form a circle, jerk over the title of a game and thereby pushing the rating up. Then little old me decides to rent it to see what the critics were raving about and 9/10 times it was crap!! However I find sequels are often better than the originals despite lower ratings overall.

I thought the controls in ICO were total ^&*(( and I stopped playing it. Coming from a PC gaming background I cannot stand controls which I don't feel comfortable with.

I thought Okami was crap too. I was completely uninterested in the gameplay.

I don't care whether a game is innovative or derivative. I will play them on their merits and I give no bonus points unless the 'new innovative' stuff actually works.

Sony and Nintendo will have their best lineups next year it looks like.

Microsoft has Natal though and you know they are going to advertise that to high heaven, that will likely be the highest profile product launch in the game industry next year. I would expect a 360 Slim to go with the Natal launch as well.

Not a chance in hell FF13 Versus is ready for next year either. I'm not even convinced FF13 (Japan) and GT5 are coming this year yet.

I don't know what's more hilarious in this thread, someone saying that Demon's Souls would "obliterate Fable III" or the same person comparing God of War III to Crackdown 2 as if it's any semblance of the same genre.

@ Kantor earlier: Yes, guns along with magic and melee weapons are all part of Fable's combat, and I really don't see that changing. However, I fail to see how the fact that all the games have guns in them proves that there's no variety.

I think its astonishing how this thread has 140 posts with people trying to convince eachother that their opinion is the right one.

And stop trying to use "facts", chartz, in depth analysis, review scores, which game releases at what time to make sure they are included in the right lineup (because that can make or break a "victory" in this discussion) etc. It just makes you look retarded. R-e-t-a-r-d-e-d!
