Forums - Gaming Discussion - PS3 Version Of FFXIII Downgraded Due To 360

I dont care, the most important is its coming to Xbox 360 and can give good sales for the game, in west.

True, They have done right to offer it on another system.  So I guess that is one Really good side to the coin.

Edit... Yep, my point of view on this is quite neutral.  I put my hand up that I have only played on FF7,8,9 and 10.

and you believe it....

the game is downgraded it because they couldnt make the graphics as they wanted at the first place

all that are cheap excuses that noone believes anymore

as for the GTA IV it look sharper in the xbox because the resolution is so much higher

i cant even play gta iv in ps3 unless is a crt ot hd ready tv (in full hd the game just sux compared to the xbox version because of the lower resolution)

Still the PS3 had the potential to make for longer gameplay due to capacity...Big deal. Could just put it onto multipul discs for the 360.

I'm not too sure what the fuss is about here... Did the creator really admit it was downgraded? Or that they could not be arsed to finish it properly just to get it out the door?

Uh...

Who cares about the graphics? It's the idea that you won't be able to return to areas you've previously visited to finish off sidequests and explore because they'll be on different discs (in the 360 version) that most disappoints me.

But even that's no biggie.

Hmm.  Point taken.  Is there really no way around that?

I'm surprised people think the graphics are taking a big hit due to 360. My view, as a PS3 owner, is that graphically the consoles are very close. I really wouldn't expect being multiplatform to affect that.

There is only one area there is a factual difference that could have an impact - DVD storage vs BR storage. The only affect I can see (apart from getting extra exercise if you own a 360) is the game world layout might be designed to better align to being split in two - as with Rage where they altered the landscape from an initial design for three large gameplay areas to two to better align to shipping the game on 2 DVDs for 360.

I suppose you could get all angry and claim this is somehow 'downgrading' the design, but I fail to see it having much impact myself. And if you're playing on PS3 you will have everything on one disk and will have seamless play anyway.

I think in the end too many people are looking to see more issues here than there likely are.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

One thing i dont understand why SE always said they want both ver to look identical. Why dont just downgrade X360 ver ? I dont think X360 owner will complain as they still get the game. It is not X360 fault but SE fault.

Jap voice is not really big deal but great to have. SE can include Jap voice in PS3 only. Blu Ray has lots of space.

Anyone who said X360 is the reason PS3 ver looks bad is Microsoft hater. Blame SE not X360. They are the ones want both ver looks same.

That sounds fair 2 me as well.

Star OCean:TLH is the only multidisc JRPG that's like that on X360. What makes you think this is true? They never have stated this nor is the same developer doing the game.

How our favorite systems are just like humans and sometimes have issues finding their special someone...

Xbox 360 wants to KinectPS3 wants to Move!  Why are both systems having such relationship problems?  The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.

NOW i understand why every PS3 fanboy saying that VersusXII will be the mother and father of god without seeing more than 3 sec of FMV in 20 different trailers showing absolutely nothing.
