Sony actually has a lot more exclusives coming down the pipe than Microsoft.

2009 is set in stone and I see Xbox dominating software sales this holiday season. They have heavy hitters that will bring in the bucks (halo, l4d2, forza3, MW2, A2, DA:O, Borderlands) Even though the ones I mentioned are not all exclusive, it will be purchased for xbox more than ps3.
Hardware-wise, I see Sony and Microsoft at a tie.

2010 is way different. Sony's first half of 2010 looks like one of the most impressive exclusive lineups ever with tons of AAA titles. With those in mind, Sony will dominate both software and hardware wise. There is more incentive to purchase a PS3 with last guardian, GOW3, Modnation racers, Heavy Rain, White Night Chronicles coming out first half. That will surge sales for PS3 first half and then come E3, Sony will probably have big guns waiting for its core audience and new software for casual players with the wand coming out.

Sony will do ok software-wise for 2009 with Uncharted 2, R&C2, MW2, A2, DA:O and Batman leading the way. But Sony is bringing the heat 2010 with exclusives

GT5 in 2009... Will sell more than any 360 game released this year.

i absolutely loved gta on ps2 it was the best game of my lifetime but when i first played gta 4 at my friends house i was so pissed off at how shitty and laggy and screwed up the gameplay was that i didnt end up buying it. but then i realized the only way to make the game next gen was to fill up a blu ray disc like how rockstar didnt like the limitations of the dvd. so why the hell doesnt that game go exclusive on playstation becuz all xbox is doing is getting a shiity game on their console and making the game worse on the ps3 than it should be. why do they have to make ps3s life feel like shit just becuz the game was shit on their console. plus just think about a gta filling a blu ray disc their would be like seven islands and way more cars and do u kno wut that would do for sales i mean i kno tons of ppl that didnt get the game cuz it was shit. n remember gta san andreas sold like 19 million on ps2 alone. that game would have been way more succesful if they jus did that.

No games are going to go from multiplat to exclusive (GTA, FF, DMC, Rising will all stay multiplat), but it'll stop games like Agent, LA Noire and Heavy Rain (or does Sony own it?) from going multiplat.

Oh come on the PS brand has had its day. Developers themselves are pissed at the sight of Sony buying themselves into things just to make it their own. Its happening all over the VG business and the electronics business. Even when Sony realize this there's nothing they can do they started the damage with their rootkits (the lowest form of piracy) and it will live with them until the day Sony dies!! Exclusives are long gone on PS brand
