The first PSP revision did 250k week one in Japan. Wonder if this could be even bigger.

Amazon Japan is usually good indicator of JP HW interest. To make things funnier, the thing launches on November 1 in Japan, and will probably be completely sold out... On the other hand, it launches in less than a month here in the west, and it's not even in the top 100 IIRC.

I'm not all that surprised considering PSP HW sales dropped big time in Japan, so obviously there was a reason behind it. Could it be because it's very small and light, Japanese love gadgets like that?

Well, as I mentioned, it's very small and light, Japanese love stuff like that. One other indicator that the thing could be big is Atlus' and Squenix recent decision to launch Persona 3 Portable and Dissidia: Universal Tuning with PSP Go.

Gotta be honest here, i think the PSP Go will Fail big time outside of japan, the price point makes its value drop in quality.

Im sure it'll be great but with still no 2nd analog stick and now no UMD it seems rather rubish of a rpice point.

If it was priced at $150 + Tax then it would be worth it no doubt but $50 less then a PS3 Slim and X360 Elite? And the same price of a Wii?! people are better off buying the cheaper 3000 model or really cheap 2000 models on Amazon for $99!

Seraphic - It's certainly not much of a value at its current price, no doubt. That's why I'm surprised by the Japanese interest, PSP-3000, for example, was never high in the Amazon.co.jp chart before the launch...
