Youuuu may not see the problem and I for one dont either because im sure its a fantastic game, however majority of NA definately will see a problem. 'Demand more while paying less' is their moto XD

It's only slightly more expensive for the Japanese standard, Amazon will probably offer a discount from day 1 like they usually do.
For comparison, game prices in the euro zone are roughly $85 RRP.

If it's a hundred bucks I'd still pay for it.
Here's my theory about a game prices. Basically I pay a dollar an hour. So if I buy a game for 60 bucks, then I'm going to be sure to try and get 60 hours in it. So with Final Fantasy XIII I can image I'll get well over a 100 hours in it so it'd defintiely be worth the price.

GTA IV in portugal was 75 euros... 107.2725 dollars -.-
$89 must be for a limited edition of the game. $89 for a standard edition is way too much money to pay for a game.
The Americans would not accept these escalated prices.
