Forums - Nintendo - I feel let down by Nintendo

LOL! I see a post on this topic when it's said that "I don't buy 3rd parties games 'cause I don't like realistic shooter, racers, bla bla bla"...

So try:
- Super Swing Golf
- Eledees (Elebits, but you're in PAL)
- Cooking Mama
- SSX Blur
- Kororinpa (it's one of my TOP Wii games)

etc...

PS3 fanboys are never dissapointed because they fool themselves into thinking they've got the best thing ever made no matter what happens.

Hmm... you are funny G... I have a comfort to choose between platforms. I can buy a Wii  anytime. I would fool myself if I get one. It simply doesn't appeal to me. I could buy even you with your favourit slippers if I want to. You are just a bitter N-fan, nothing more. Some 14 yo kid who hide like a rat behind new pic and nickname. Why bother? This site accept you. Coward.

I must admit Kber you have quite the odd sense of sarcasm, now I think I see why DarthDevidem couldn't bring himself to honestly think you were being serious about any of the bull you were writing, lol.

Enjoy your 600 dollar slippers. Hope they last longer than five hours.

That's just a little nasty and personal kber - please avoid personal attack comments...

Bitter? Oh the irony.

Being a long-term, loyal Nintendo fan, you should come to expect regular delays from Nintendo. They have a long standing 'It's not coming out until it's perfect!' policy that regularly causes delays. So sit on back and rest up for Galaxy when it comes out in a month. :P

Yes, that's all there is to Pokemon. It's not like there are IVs, EVs, breeding, abilities, equipped items, egg moves, combination moves like Baton Pass, 17 types, STAB bonuses, dual types, and weaknesses. Those are just a few of the gameplay elements that have changed. Compared to Red and Blue in which there were 15 types, no dual types, only 1 attack stat, and weaknesses. Of course the plot didn't change. The game has to be accessible to kids.

Actually...

There were two attack stats in Red/Blue.  Attack and Special.

There were dual types in Red/Blue which was the main reason Ghastly/Haunter/Gengar sucked.

STAB bonuses were around in Red/Blue too.  I'd like to say IVs were as well, but I never peered that far into their mechanics.

In reading this, some things quickly comes to mind.

Beauty is in the mind of the beholder and to each their own.

In other words, people should play games they like. I may have a difficult time understanding how someone could be disappointed in the recent offerings from Nintendo. But then again, I don't understand why 3-plus million people are playing Halo 3

How is he insulting Zelda and Metroid fans by saying he didn't feel the games lived up to his expectations?

How about the people for whom those games did live up to expectations? Is their taste inferior enough to allow them to play games that were "not stunning" and enjoy them?

If you buy into hype, prepare to be disappointed.

Of course their taste isn't inferrior, and I don't think he said that. If someone said that they enjoyed Metroid does that mean people who didn't like it should be offended? I said I really thought Metroid Prime 3 was good, probably my favorite Metroid game, and if anyone disagrees that's their right, I wasn't insulting them. The same way I think Super Paper Mario was one of the biggest disappointments in recent years, and that has nothing to do with hype either. I thought the guy was just expressing his opinion, I don't see how that's insulting anyone. We all have different opinions about everything, we're not bashing people when we state them.

But if this guy does live in the UK I'll have to take his opinion with a grain of salt since he hasn't played Metroid and Smash Brothers was never set for 2007 over there so it was never really delayed. Still not an offensive opinion, just one that shouldn't be taken seriously.

I love my Wii and DS. They haven't let me down. There are still so many games I want to get, and plan to one day. But if you fell let down there are two other companies looking for ya.

Predictions for 2009: (Right) (Wrong) (Partial)

Pokemon Gold/Silver DS Japan in September

NES colored Wii and SNES Classic Controler for Christmas

Super Role Bros for Christmas

FF Remakes announced; VII PS3 VIII 360 IX Wii

New Super Mario World November 2009

lol, when was Metroid Prime 3 made a linear first person shooter? After I bought it and started playing it?

MP3 is just as adventurest as the other Metroid games. It just replaced MP's clunky old control scheme with one that happened to be perfect for shooters, but the game itself isn't anymore first person shooter then the other Prime games. Have you even played it?

Edit: Oh wait, you haven't. No wonder...

I don't know where you got the idea that they turned Prime into an FPS, but's wrong. Like the original Prime, it started out very simple, with lots of shooting in mind and not much else. But it doesn't take more then an hour for the adventure aspects to kick in. As long as you start on Veterans mode, you will not be dissapointed, as it is easily the best Prime in the series, or at least better then Echoes and Hunters.
