Oh noes! Someone alert the nerd police...

Current gen console that is supposed to be the "sizzle" got beat by last gen console.

Really though, PS3 has many more years and will surely blossom in to a great console much higher on a list like this... but it isn't the "best console EVA" yet

Looks like the top 10 will be in any order the following

NES
SNES
Wii
N64
PS1
PS2
Atari 2600
Genesis
Master System
360

Have any of those been eliminated yet? too lazy to look.

Xbox > PlayStation 3 is surprising.

Anyway, for the top 5 i expect...
1. PlayStation 2
2. Super Nintendo Entertainment System
3. PlayStation
4. Nintendo Entertainment System

You don't have to be that way. No one said the PS3 was the best console ever. I just think the PS3 should be over the Xbox and not because it's still "hot" but because I think it's simply better. I also support that the 360 should be over the PS3 as a matter of fact.

from what systems i've played that you pot down i'd say

1 - SNES
2 - PlayStation
3 - N64
4 - Playstation2
5 - Sega Gen
6 - PS3/360 but i'm edging more towards ps3.....blu ray mannnnn
7 - Gamecube (as much as i love my cube i have to put you this far behind :()
8 - Wii (should be like #100)

didnt add nes because i cant think of where to put it lol i guess it would be above ps1....not to sure.

Sorry, i didnt mean to be a douche in my reply...but things have to be time adjusted when comparing them. Xbox in 2003 with online, voice chat, freinds lists...and all might Halo...as well as other FPS games that were online at the time like Wolfenstien definetly left the mark on gaming.

Xbox in 2003-2004(that was the console peak) vs PS3 in 2009...I don't know, its a tough call, hence why they are so close.

Come on dude, let be serious, The PS3 is one of the finer piece of hardware i have even used. The Xbox is not even close and I owned both.

I somewhat disagree. Xbox offered something none of the other 2 consoles offered at the time. PS3 has been playing catchup to 360 for most of its lifecycle...
