Eurogamer just published their review and they scored it 7/10.

hahahahaha, no offense, but 7/10? :D This is one of those games people shouldn't hesitate about. I've had more fun than ToD and QfB together.

did you write a review for it as well??

Jup, we're on metacritic as well, 9Lives is the site.

well, I suppose 88 isn't too bad considering that you gave Uncharted 2 a 92.

even though I don't understand the whole thing, did you take weapons as an issue?? I felt weapons are always a strong point in Insomniac games.

@ iBlah: Uncharted has a 92 because of the fact that "above 90" is classic (to me, since I wrote the review). So it's not "four points away" but several steps away. ACiT is good, but not a classic, hence below 90 :p

About the weapons: They are not an issue in the way you probably think. I loved the weapons (groovitron ftw :p) but some of the weapons are a bit too powerful. That's what I mentioned. Not the weapons themselves, but how powerful they are.

that makes sense then.

oh just finished downloading the demo, going to play now.

the demo was alright. the space enviroment actually wowed me for a second when I first started, which was pretty impressive considering the only gameI have been playing in the last few days is Uncharted 2. the demo doesn't have Ratchet however, it introduces Clank and some of his time control gameplay. the platformings are alright, but I really wanted to see some of these "hardcore" stuff the devs were talking about. overall a pretty nice demo, I think it will be an awesome game, not superdupermegaawesome like Uncharted 2, but aweome nontheless. probably gonna preorder now

off topic: triple post!!! wootwootwoot!!!!!

Hardcore stuff is only in the Challenge Mode and when you collect all fourty Zoni, so you'll have quite an adventure to go on before the game cracks open your skull with hardcore stuff ;)

thats why its called hardcore in the first place. but I do remember they said in one of the videos that some of the moons you can explore have hardcore platformings.

Here's Insomniac's response to the reviews so far.

Basically, they talk about how they don't know how else to improve on the series, and the way he talks about it makes it seem like R&C may be having a rather long break (though he did say he doesn't think there are too many for now).

Also, since I can't create a thread for some reason, I found Insomniac's response to fan feedback of Resistance 2. You guys who hate on it far too much (KANTOR! ) are making them sad! ;_;

I played the ACiT Clank demo just now, and everything was COMPLETELY new! The reviewers are complaining for the sake of complaining. But I think 3 Ratchet games in one generation is enough, and they should work on something else for the rest of the gen.

As for Resistance 2, it took them a year to notice that? It's good that they're sad. They should be. It will give them motivation to not make Resistance 3 suck.

It's good that they care more about their fans than the reviews.

Lucky! I won't get a chance to play ACIT for months...

And I'm sure they noticed it sooner, but they just now commented on it. I'd imagine they've spent quite a bit of time working to make R3 (provided they actually are making it) much better than R2 so hopefully people won't be so disappointed by it. Which for me would involve giving me my weapon wheel back! (and campaign co-op would be nice.)
