Forums - Sony - 4/30 PS3 Slims got returned at my Best Buy

Damage control is amusing on all fronts.

how is that even possible? half of the inside is just cooling space

This is what happens when you lower the price to a point to were low lifes can afford it. The people that give a care about nothing and treat everything in their life like trash. I have never had a system break or stop functioning. I have had a NES, 2 SNES's parents living room and my bedroom, 2 N64's, 3 PS1's brother had his own, 1 Xbox, 2 360's Me and my bro, and 5 PS3's M&D, Brother, sister, and my living room and bedroom. For the most part systems do not break if you keep them clean and give them plenty of ventilation, but I know there are lemons.

It drives me insane when I see people with gaming systems on the carpet, with clothes on them, or on the TV stand with games paked beside and on top of them. Then these people have the audacity to call out MS, Sony, or Nintendo because their system stopped working. Just my thought.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

LOL, I knew someone who bought 2 PS2 slims, they were all damaged by his mothers friends kids:-

1) PS2 slim died when the little kid kicked it, because he got owned by the game, this guy blamed Sony for not making it tough enough.

2) PS2 slim died when the little kid tipped juice into it, the guy again blamed Sony for not making it water proof

This happened about 4 years ago I think, but as you can see, this guy is one of those many consumers that blame the company for the stupidity that occurs in their house hold rather than realising it's perhaps their fault.

It also reminds me of the original Ipods which had small hard drives, and it clearly said not to run with it because the shocks of running can cause damage, as was the case with all MP3 players back in the day which had small hard drives....what did I see people doing...running with it, a couple of months later the same people were complaining because it broke or wasn't working properly, one would assume collage people would be smarter, clearly they won't XD

These people require brick technology, it's durable, long lasting, and can take the abuse these consumers dish out, the only problem is that these consumers find them ugly...so they buy the smaller cool looking ones, then dish out the abuse and wonder why it couldn't take it...I say NO to violence against electronics XD

Well if PS3 slim really does turn out to have overheating issues you can bet the PS3 ultra-slim will be out before long. It will have the power brick outside reducing the size and weight of the unit even more, almost down to PS2 slim proportions.

They might do an ultra-slim regardless. I don't care about a power brick, every laptop has one, so why not your console where you can hide the brick behind your TV cabinet?

I could get quite nasty if it was the same kid on both occasions.

OT: just take a break after every 2 or 3 hours playing session, its good for you and the system both.

No way! They had a ps3 slim running all day at best buy yesterday, I was playing batman on it =P

mM

I'm assuming PS3 Slim is a lower quality build and its possible these units were rushed. It even seemed YLOD has been occurring a lot.

We'll have to wait and see if there is any truth to this thread.
