Well if PS3 slim really does turn out to have overheating issues you can bet the PS3 ultra-slim will be out before long. It will have the power brick outside reducing the size and weight of the unit even more, almost down to PS2 slim proportions.
They might do an ultra-slim regardless. I don't care about a power brick, every laptop has one, so why not your console where you can hide the brick behind your TV cabinet?
