Forums - Gaming - I want FF8 remake...not FFVII

The point is that you are stronger compared to the monsters you are fighting if you have a low level and strong magic than if you are high level with strong magic. That doesn't make any sense. That is broken. They should have had a minimum level for monsters that increased as you proceeded.

And it wouldn't be as tedious as you make it sound. You just had to get a GF early that could learn Encounter None and then run through the game One Hitting the bosses with High Level magic or your upped strength stat.

I find that the process of drawing all your magic is too tedious for me to actually enjoy the game; It is too repetetive and mindless. Refining items both bought and fought for, I find to be an interesting way to power up characters. I don't think the level system is broken, you get better items from higher level monsters, plus your base stats are higher - especially if you have stat+ abilities equipped while you are leveling, that should make you more powerful on higher levels. I agree the system certainly could use some massive overhauls, it took me A LOT of reading and playing to get comfortable with 10 years ago.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I really got to the point where I don't care what Square-Enix does since I really only care about Suikoden and SMT when it comes to jRPGs nowadays.

Just go buy Persona 3/4 instead everybody.

Too bad Suikoden has been ruined ever since the creator left after Suikoden III.  Now its like they're just making Final Fantasy knock-offs with 108 characters and runes.

That's like saying Star Ocean is a Tales knockoff with a more complex battle system and less interesting characters.

The difference is, I'm talking about story and player interaction, not gameplay.  Since one of the major things that set Suikoden apart was the connecting storyline from game to game and diverse roles your characters played.  In Suikoden IV, V, Tactics and the new DS game, you might as well just be characters from FFTactics Advance.  School children trapped in a storybook following orders, with no ties at all to Suikoden I-III aside from 2-3 cameo apperances of past characters.

Remakes can wait, I WANT a conclusion to Genesis story dammit.

I would rather have a FF9 remake.

Screw FF VII remake, i Want FF VIII remake also!!!! its kinda weird though,,, it seems that the best FF for the majority is almost always the first FF played!
and while you're at it SE, i want a FFT remake a la Valkyria chronicles

I guess that's true in most of the cases that played the SNES, PS1 and PS2 titles first... That's not true with people like me that played the NES ones first...

I played FF1 first and went through the series in order, the 1st one that got my whole attention was FF4, then the greatness arrived (FF6&FF7), the thing is, FF8 really blew my mind, and to this date it's my favorite of all FF titles, with X as close second...

I'll be really happy to get PS3 remakes of the PS1 titles (FF7, FF8, FF9, FFT, especially FF8) but first, they need to get the new titles out, FF13, vs13 and agito13 are taking forever... At least 13 has a release period, but the others no one knows...
