Forums - Nintendo - My Walmart is odd

I already own a copy but if what your saying is true about collectors value, I may pick one up.

Hmmm. Back in 2006 when I was 12, I actually found a few copies of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 (Nintendo 64 version) as well as some Game Boy Color games & even some earlier PSX games at Walmart. I also found another Game Boy Color game when I was there last year.

I can't really think of any other mega store that would be so desparate to sell off their remaining inventory as Walmart.

I LIKE REDMOON ONLINE. IT'S TEH MOST AWESOMEST MMORPG. 1. I don't shop at Wal-Mart for anything other than food.
2. You can find a copy of ED for cheaper than that.
3. That is strange but then again its Wal-Mart. Who likes Wal-Mart?

I found a copy of paper mario back in 07 still shrink wrapped at target. It wasn't even in the electronics section, it was in the art supplies section.

My name is blubeard because rosie has a blue beard. Just not on her chest.

It's amazing what you can find sometimes when you're not even really looking.

I few years ago I found a copy of Final Fantasy VII (GH Edition of course) brand new at FYE in my local mall for $15, and it had been discontinued for some time! I should have kept it in the shrink wrap, because unopened copies of FFVII, even the GH editions, regularly go for over $100 on Amazon or eBay.

Some other steals I found were brand new copies of Body Harvest and Worms Armageddon for N64 for $20 each at my local EBX.... and one time at my local Target I picked up a brand new copy of NBA Street for GCN that was priced at $19.99 but rang up at $2.54 at the register... I shit you not!!!

I'm honestly surprised that ED was priced at $50 and it was outside of the cabinets... usually every game noy inside the cabinets is priced at $20 and under at places like Walmart and Target. I would have swapped price stickers with another game and then bought it... it's not like the cashiers ever pay attention to that shit lmao!

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

very expensive for a gamecube game, in what year that game was released.

2002 originally, but it's a very sought after game... used copies at GameStop regularly go for $25-$30 at least.  $49.99 was its original retail price, and you'll pay even more for an unopened copy of ED if you go on Amazon or eBay.

When a game disappears from the computers but not from the shelves, stores often do not know what to do with it. Often, it will remain at full price until a manger decides to discount (or destroy) the item.

I once found Sega Master System games at a Montgomery Ward sometimes after the release of the Playstation (late 1990s). I badgered the clerk into selling me the games for $10 (I threatened to call Chicago -- MWs HQ).

I have seen Wal-Marts with overpriced/outdated items. I have also seen things shipped over to the clearance aisles.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.
