The biggest thing that impresses me about Killzone 2 is the controls. It's the first console shooter I've ever played where I don't feel like I'm flailing my gun around trying to hit my target. As far as graphics, I've seen better on the PC, namely in games like Crysis. But the game still looks good, probably a step ahead of Bioshock or Gears of War 2.

I rented Killzone 2 last Thursday when I got my PS3 Slim from Amazon. I'm almost done with it thanks to a day off from work with nobody else home but me and the cats. For some reason, even though the enemies are repetitive and there are some parts of the game that are frustratingly difficult, I'm still having a blast playing it and will probably try to finish it today. Sometimes, there's something that can be said for simplicity. It's not like the Hellghast aren't fun to kill. I think they're awesome enemies to fight against.

Finally, someone agrees with me on the controls... As for graphics, of course you'll see better on PC, that's why it's the PC. However, as far as consoles, it still holds the top spot IMO.

IMO it has the most horrible controls for a console FPS ever (Well let's say in the dual analog era).

Virtually unplayable for everyone without any experiences in console shooters.

I was going to to say that HD = anything over 480p (haha, I just did!!) but instead i'll say that it's pretty sad that the only way you guys can make Killzone look good is if you pretend that every other good FPS doesn't count.

I don't know, I generally prefer 3rd person shooters to 1st person shooters on the consoles, but Killzone 2's controls felt to me like they BELONGED on a console.

Mhmm.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

I guess I'm missing something obvious here but isn't Modern Warfare high def since it says it runs at 1080p on the back of the box?

Rainbow Six Vegas also goes to 1080p....That ended fast...

The back of boxes are full of crap when it comes to that, same for install sizes.

is the box wrong then? I'm not quite following. I guess I'm a bit slow when it comes to technical stuff.

It's half-true. The numbers on the backsite are not the actual rendering resolution, it just shows the possible upscale resolutions.

And yeah install sizes can really differ a lot.

All right, that's cool. Thanks.

Uhm? half-life?

This is invisible text!

Call of Duty 2 (XO) sold 2,43M.

Resistence maybe have higher sales, but at least 1M was with bundles.

Sounds like you trying to say that an "inferior" control scheme needs bad controls.....

As to how he shoots the gun in KZ2,Its not the controls its the animation.

Controls are the layout.
