Forums - Nintendo - I wish NSMBW wasn't 2.5D

2.5d always reminded me of yoshi's story

I regret making this my username, I made this name when I was 13 years old

Life could always get worse, you could be a mod for Neogaf

I kinda wish they dropped the Multiplayer-crap and released it on the DS instead

I think 2D sprites still looke better then 3D period...

I have no problem with 2.5D, I rather enjoy it actually.

I know, Sonic Rush was amazing.

Like Wario Land Shake It?  I loved how that game looked.  I would also prefer a full 2D sprite based game, but I'm not picky; having 2D gameplay is more important than 2D graphics.

Veder Juda is hand crafted from EPIC FAIL, and is a 96% certified Looney; the other 4% is a work in progress.

There is no such thing as "3D sprites"

They are called "3D models"

I LOVE ICELAND!

I prefer Paper Mario's 2D sprites in a 3D world.

I just mean it like this.

2D Games are created to look cool.

3D Games are created more often then not to look realistic.  Because it's 3D like real life... and it always fails hard at that and because of it tends to lack when it comes to art style.

A well done 2D game practically always looks better then a well done 3D game... with the only exceptions usually being when they make a 3D game look almost 2D with things like how No More Heroes was done. (in my opinion.)

I love the graphical style in NSMB on DS and the Wii version looks even better so no, I do not want 2D sprites.

I think 2.5d is perfect for this game.. its the new Mario game.. c'mon you know it isn't going to be bad.
