I would like an western RPG from them actually

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

A Dungeon Crawler does sound nice. First Person would be my preference as well.

I dont know, i want something more action oriented! Enough of this old stuf of numbers and 100 hours of boring gameplay filled with random encounters.

RPGs can be action oriented and have no random battles. Look at KH and Tales...

They should make an action/adventure this time but third person.

I agree with this.

Sweet! My Little Pony RPG confirmed!

I really hope it's DK or Star Fox. Those franchises deserve a non-"experimental" game from a top shelf dev.

"[Our former customers] are unable to find software which they WANT to play."
"The way to solve this problem lies in how to communicate what kind of games [they CAN play]."

Satoru Iwata, Nintendo President. Only slightly paraphrased.

Its the best scenario

I dont think its a new IP its probably Star Fox or Kid Icarus, and old franchise that we are all expecting and can get everyone easily excited, on the other side... Metroid Prime was a great FPS experience easily one of the best on the genre, what if they made a multiplayer fps game that finally shows how the wii mote is suppose to be used, i know the Conduit was great, and The Grinder will be great, but im sure it can be a better experience if it was worked out by a nice dev (a.k.a Retro)

I have a hard time seeing Retro developing an RPG, but i dont know.. what else have they made besides Metroid?

Nintendo is the best videogames company ever!

I hope it's a revived Raven Blade or at least a new IP, I want to see Retro's talent not be completely focused on random dormant Nintendo franchises.

Whatever it is, I'm sure it'll be fantastic. If there's anything Retro have showed us, it's that they know what they're doing. My hopes are pinned on Raven Blade or Kid Icarus.

Eh, why would it be bad if it were multiplayer focused? Or, what do you consider multiplayer focused?

I'd say we don't have enough on the Wii (of high quality, anyway). I crave for more. Star Fox would work...

Either way, I hope they end up using the Wii-mote in a meaningful way. I think the Wii needs more high quality, core games utilizing its potential.
