Forums - Sony - Are you looking forward to Resistance 3?

I have no doubt in my mind that it will be late 2010 release.... and i cant wait

how is it possible to look forward to it when there is absolutely no info about the game? they didnt even announce it

I enjoyed both games so far, but they're not AAA in my opinion. My biggest gripe about Resistance 2 was that the bosses looked amazing, but were very simple encounters. Take the behemoth rampaging the city for instance. All you do is run from one place to the next and every now and then shoot a rocket in its mouth. To finish it, you shoot a rocket at the bridge. No real strategy or battle against any of the bosses. Hell, you even get told in-game how to beat the last boss.

Keep this in mind when reading what I type...

I've been gaming longer than many of you have been alive.

In a word, YES!!! But I am hoping that the single player experience is more like the first Resistance but either way I will buy it!!

Nope. Insomniac needs to remake Genji and that will be a better game.

Tease.

Looking forward to play the story mode and see how it unfolds.... I could care less about online part though.

yeahh obviously, i loved the first 2 and cant wait for the third

Yes, definately. I hope they make it more like the first Resistance rather then the second one. I liked how you had access to ever gun in the game in the first one rather than just 2 guns in the second one. And also the health system in the first one was better than regeneration.

Yes! I guess this is just because I am an Insomniac whore so whatever they put out I will hype and buy.

Me too!

I do have a lot of complaints with R2, but the first was a great game, IMO. They need to bring back the weapon wheel, the narrator (I never complained about it), and the old health system. Co-op for the campaign would be great, but I want to see them keep and expand upon the new co-op mode. That was by far the reason why I love R2 and I'd be sad if it didn't return for the third game.

I'll probably get it at some point, but I'm not really looking forward to it. The second one was just bland, boring, and unpolished.

To be honest, I think they tried tackling too much in too short a time with the second. Even then, the basic ideas weren't all that cool, and the Chimera aren't very exciting anymore.

When I got into the Killzone 2 beta, I never looked back at R2.
