I saw PS3 sold out at several stores in my town, damn demand is really high!

I also saw piles upon piles upon piles in other stores, oh demand is so low!

Conclusion: Wait till after the initial sales spikes before you get too excited that the PS3 slim is a success or a failure.

Are we going to get first day sales for Americas?

Hell.. Even 80GB phat's are sold out at bestbuy canada, let alone slims!

well that's a bummer. hoped it would stay down for a day or 2...

Wow.. This morning at 11:00 AM, an hour after bestbuy canada opens, checked PS3 Slim and they had restocked it from yesterday and it said "In stock" I checked right now, at 2:15 PM, they are fresh out.

Since a lot of anecdotal reports are being thrown in here, I've already seen 120GB SKUs at both Target (first one I checked since the release) and at Fry's. Both had been out of the 80GB SKU for the past week or so.

I'm still seeing the 160GB SKU pretty much everywhere (and even when the 80GB started to disappear before the 120GB appeared).

Not sure if this means 80GB inventory is gone (there has to be some floating around somewhere, even if the SKU is not on most retail inventory order listings), but I haven't seen one in a store for quite some time.

We got two... 2 days ago and one was still sitting on the shelf when I left at 1 this morning

in comparison 360 Pros comming from the warehouse don't last an hour on the shelf... though I'm thinking we're probably dried up  I wonder if Sony is going to have some problems putting out enough Slims

I was hoping SONY would have kept up a good supply... or perhaps it's the store's fault for not ordering enough?

i heard you can trade in a ps3 80 40 60 gb for $150 towards a ps3 slim and you can get $50 more for trading in your ps2 slim and 2 controllers and a memory card thats $200 dollars off

Must be the store, Sony said they wern't going to run out
