The PS3 hasn't got a price cut in like 2 years and it was always at a really high price but now its finally at a reasonable price, the X360 got a huge price cut not even a year ago and now there cutting it again, it's already available for $199 do you really think that there Elite model will sell so much that theres going to be a big difference in sales?

Cleary the PS3 will have way better sales, the reason why it wasn't outselling the X360 is because of the price but now that the price is pretty close to the same people are going to pick the PS3.

everybody wants a ps3 and were waiting for it to be more afordable, the ps3 fat is a great system, the new slim is great with a 120 gig hd and sony is releasing a slim 250 gig hd, funny to me microsoft is copying sony with the release of a 250 gig system. i think microsoft is scared, they know the ps3 is a superior system, they know the titles to be released are far better titles, most of the people who wanted a 360 have one, good greef 200 dollors, anyone could buy, everybody wants the ps3 and now with  the price cut, its really taking off, microsoft will still sale units, they have a good system to, its just not the ps3 or even close.

All Ill say is I think sonys decision to include blu-ray is really going to work out for them in the long run especially at this price.

I say the PS3 will beat the X360 every week till the gen is over (excluding any new halo game week)

Yeah, the cost of entry is what really matters, and that has not changed on the Xbox, it is more of a value addition

Sony's cut to a reasonable 300 has been desired since the system launched. 3 years of waiting makes this event remarkable. MS has never really had a price problem on their consoles, so the 100 dollar shaved off the elite- though helpful, pales in comparison to the years of waiting

ms already had an offer out at $299 whereas sony did not.

the type of person who was going to get an xbox would continue getting the xbox.

the type of person who was going to get a ps3 but then decided that it was too expensive and ended up getting the xbox will now stick with the ps3 purchase.

top that off with anyone one who was considering getting an xbox now has another option at the same price.
