I've been meaning to buy an HD console for years and keep buying tattoos instead.  The PS3 has Gran Turismo and God of War coming and I love both series, but those are the only games I would probably want as of now.  360 has a lot more games I am interested in although I have no idea if I would get into them and I am not a fan of FPSs.  I don't play many games anymore so getting more than one is pointless (still have un-opened PS2, Wii and DS games I meant to play).  I also wonder if I am not into games anymore or if I have just not palyed anything I like lately. 

I could also try to play the stuff I have and wait for D3, but I am concerned that I will spend too much time like I did with D2. 

Or I could put a little into finishing my tats.  Advise?

D3 > Everything.
But it won't be out for some time, so get a PS3 :)

If you are interested in more games for the 360, get an arcade to mitigate the damage done to your wallet.

With the $100 you save from buying an Elite or PS3, get another tat.

I feel the same way as you though, fearing D3 will take up just as much of my life as D2 (I play D2 on USEAST right now, actually, for my 5th come-back since the games been out..lol).  In terms of a console, I'd wait if you have stuff to play.

Wait to buy a PS3 until GOW3 comes out, because it or Gran Turismo will probably be bundled if those are games you'd like to play.  Or just forego the consoles altogether, play what you have, and wait for D3.

If I was in your shoes, I'd feel like either way it doesn't matter because when Diablo 3 comes out, consoles will be on the backburner and rarely ever turned on, unless I have people over.  In that sense, I'd say save your money..but you're going to spend it anyway=P 

I would clear my back log of unopened games and get more tats. Ink is forever and games eventualy end up in bargin bins, best of both worlds. :)

Never thought about an Arcade 360 but maybe that would be better.  But the price range of the tats I want is $500-800.  I guess I could get the $500 tat and an Arcade this month, but that would leave me about $40 for a game or I have to wait 2 weeks.

Yeah, I don't have any unfinnished tats, but I am in the process of filling in my forearms and have room for one more large one on each forearm before I fill in the cracks.

Think I will try my new/old games out and see if anything grabs me first.  A GT5 or GOW3 bundle sounds pretty good too.

You never know, Diablo 3 could be on consoles.

Diablo on console would be pretty cool, even if it did not perform as well.  Have you heard anything about that adn how would the controls work?

If you plan on getting a tribal/japanese symbol, skulls, a barcode on the neck, or some kinda heart, just get a console.
