Forums - Nintendo - So.. who here has bought Cursed Mountain?

I haven't played to much else passed where I was at except I killed the boss that I was talking about earlier and got to the next "chapter". This is where I found the first thing that "really" annoyed me about the game. I cannot see where I have to go because of the damn fog. I'm playing this game on a 35inch tv, and I should at least see where I'm going. Yeah I know, the atmosphere, but in real life you can see at least 5 ft in front of you. In this game you are lucky to see anything at all. Hopefully this area is a short one, otherwise, I might just play a different game that I have unfinished.

Yeah I found the fog in that area a little too thick. It was a bit annoying after awhile that I couldn't see anything.

Saw an ad for it last night. Had players in the dark shitting themselves. Clever ad. Hope it gets some decent airtime.

Yes.

Played 5 hours so far, and I'm impressed. The atmosphere is tough, and I love the minimalist HUD. Combat system could have been improved. Reminds me a lot Eternal Darkness.

Yeah my biggest complaint so far is the controls. Its difficult to execute some of the moves properly.

Gotta say though that this game has the same horror feel as some of the earlier RE games (1.2.3).

Controls aren't that bad imo actually. Maybe it is because from what I remember of the older Resident Evils it is a pain just to walk. If you compare it to them then this game is by far the easier option control wise. I think after a while you get use to the gestures and how to move them. It is similar to how okami needs a little tricks to get it the fastest as possible.

To answer the thread topic, I now have (but don't have the time to play it yet...)

Currently Playing: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked, Professor Layton and the Curious Village

Anticipating: Xenoblade, The Last Story, Mario Kart 7, Rayman Origins, Zelda SS, Crush3D, Tales of the Abyss 3DS, MGS:Snake Eater 3DS, RE:Revelations, Time Travellers, Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, Luigi's Mansion 2, MH TriG, DQ Monsters, Heroes of Ruin

I've obtained it a few days ago, so far my only complaint is that the upward motions don't really seem to work all that well when I'm doing the exorcism motions. Other than that, it's a pretty clever and atmospheric game. I definatly like it's professional presentation of Buddhism and the story has gotten pretty interesting so far. I heard it's supposed to be 20 hours long, so I hope to see more cool stuff later on in the game.

@Myviewing I had the same problem. Instead of moving your hand up, tilt it inward. I found that works much better.

The general consensus of this game seems to be fairly positive..

Are there any reviews out for it yet? I'm thinking of picking it up.
