He wasn't right out of sheer luck the first time. I can't be bothered to dig up his first post about the slim, but it contained information so detailed and accurate nobody could have known that unless they were some kind of insider. There is absoutely no way that post was luck. I'm still not convinced this recent post is from him though. |
I agree. BUT. It is possible for him to have somehow found out through incredible luck what they features are. Possibly could have been a hardware tester, or could have heard from a relative or something. So while I believe what he's saying, it's possible he's just duping all of us.

We will eventually know when 5% of games from a particular publisher get an update. Or some games won't work with the new features. Either Sony has to patch the games or the publisher. I don't think Sony has too. It will harm their relation if they won't settle this. Big problem for the publisher is that gamers will turn their back on them. This battle can't be fought in public.
Sony has gone public, that will harm a publisher indirectly.
Small bump on this but, if the 360 has custom soundtrack, how come that EA haven't clamped down on that?
Not played any EA game on the 360 so I'm not sure if CS is disabled or not?

It's because stuff like cross game voice chat and custom soundtracks are essentially built into the 360 as a standard feature. With the PS3 on the other hand, these features weren't there from the start so now they have to try and figure out how to make it work with all the past PS3 games which as the source suggests, is proving to be a very tall order and where a publisher was getting upset if the new features didn't work in their game.
I believe there are a few games that wont even work with in-game XMB.

It had that since launch, EA had to work with that whether they wanted to or not. On PS3 they were able to take a different approach.
