Sony couldn't implement new features into the PS3 without it affecting how some games play, so the developers of those games are within their rights to be pissed off about it, as are the people that own those games. Sure they can be upset, but I don't think having a game in the small percentage of affected titles should give them a free ride from criticism if this is true (especially the part about the movie-game tie in) since by the source, these features were set to work as a system wide feature and not something that would be included only if the developers implemented it.
Again, I'm in no way saying that the crap going on in their forums is the right thing to do.
