Forums - General - transformers :revenge of the fallen, $1.6 million from $400 million mark.

should pass this milestone mark within the next 2 days or so. cant wait. looks like the critics were wrong and the public was right about wether this movie was good. i know alot of ppl on this site didnt like the movie and that is fine and all. but even the ppl who didnt like it or even hated it, have to at least say that passing the $400 million mark in the states is a impressive thing to accomplish. :)

i really liked the movie and cant wait for it to be released on dvd/blu-ray and of course the eventual transformers 3 movie.  :)

Let's just say that we will be seeing a lot more of Michael Bay...I mean...he did involve a boat in a car chase in Bad boys...if he made a remake of the Notebook...it would have at least 5 explosions and 2 car chases.

My word. Worst movie I ever sat all the way through. I mean it looked like they stopped trying half way through. I don't wanna go near anything with Transformers or Michael Bay's name on it. The last half our was pure explosions.

That's the good part.  More explosions, less acting.

I could be wrong but I suspect people's reaction to this movie will be mostly felt in the box-office of its sequel ... Many people probably ignored the warnings that it was a really bad and dumb movie where even the special effects are so over-used they become boring by the end because the exact same criticism could be made about the original movie.

It's going to take longer than two days at it's current pace.

"Looks like the critics were wrong and the public was right about wether this movie was good."

No, the critics were right. The public was wrong, again. Just because a movie made a lot of money, doesn't mean it isn't terrible. Transformers 2 was just bad. I'm glad that the movie made a good amount of money, because it shows that the movie industry is still healthy enough, even in the recession, to make large amounts of money. However, I have no respect for Michael Bay on this one.
