Excellent choice, sir. I do think that a good argument could be made for IV or XII, but VI is pretty much the safest and widest-appealing option you can pick.

I think Final Fantasy 6 takes the crown among all the games for finding a good balance of character development, gameplay, plot, music, and all the other factors.

So do you do that because I state so plainly that I like the game, or because I have a reputation as an FFXII apologist, or what?

I also hope for an FFVI remake. I don't think they'll get around to it during the lifetime of the DS, though. Come to think of it, I wonder where our FFV remake is, and for what system...

I wish I could show discontent simply by posting my avatar. And I hope that we don't get a remake on home consoles, because I don't want to see Kefka in high definition.

That is why I always pick avatars appropriate for that purpose.

I don't really care where FFVI is remade, so long as it's put out again. I just want a new generation to be able to pick it up and play it for the first time, and really understand why people have been raving about it for fifteen+ years.

Indeed 6 is the best, 7 doesnt come close. 6 has better graphics, better music, better character, better gameplay (blitz, bushido, tools, summon, relics), better villain (Kefka, pawns Sephiroth in every way: he grows MORE powerful, kills MORE people, causes MORE destruction and actually manages to destroy the world, Sephiroth didnt accomplish 1 quarter of what Kefka did). VI deserves a remake, I'ld love to see the Opera scene, fracturing of the planet and confrontation with Kefka in 3D or HQ FMV *drools*

XII was good too. Its boss battles were epic, and the ability to run away, er, move around added more strategy. I remember running round in circles to build enough MP to pull of a quickening when fighting Famfrit -_-
