Forums - Nintendo - Will an updated 'Pilot Wings' hit the Wii?

It hasn't got a vast audience, but could sell well. I enjoyed both versions of Pilotwings, but I have just redownloaded it and got to the final level in under two hours.

Pilotwings Wii

Dinosaurs coming back to life

Which is more probable?

My heart says Pilotwings my heads says Dinosaurs

Pilotwings wii is a title which could work great with motion plus and appeal to the blue ocean public.

Ninenod even brought back punch-out. They might bring this one back too. It fits with what they're doing now.

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

if they brought back punch out they better bring back Star Fox.....please or even F-Zero just bring both of those back but if you can't bring both back then at least bring one back...

I downloaded the SNES version last Friday and I'm yearning for analog controls and dying for M+ controls.

Nintendo can't put airsports out and then have inferior controls for Pilotwings so it HAS to use M+.

M+ is approaching 6million units already so Nintendo can now be confident in finishing development. However, if we see Star Fox Wii I think we'll be waiting a year or more extra for Pilotwings Wii.

Personally I want Pilotwings before Star Fox and I also think it would make more sense for Nintendo to do this.

I'd love if it were so.

Tbh, I'm not sure why Nintendo hasn't bothered releasing a new Pilot Wings, WaveRace, Mario Golf, or Mario Tennis for the Wii yet. All of these would benefit greatly from the Wii's controls.

By this point in the GameCube's life, we had gotten three out of four of those. =(

Out of the 4 you mentioned, the last two are the ones I really scratch my head over. Yes, they have Wii Sports, but everyone loved Mario Golf and Tennis, and the Wii (even without WM+) would be perfect for those games.

However, Even if we never get those games, if they keep pulling out old titles (like punch-out) and remaking them I'll be more than happy.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

I'm dying that you wonderful Europeans got this on Virtual Console and I'm still waiting for it...

@ Makingmusic - I have Wave Race on my N64. I love that game sooo much and would buy it for the Wii if it came out.

What, son, what? New York, New York!!!

I hope so.

Unfortunately, I think that the amazing airplane minigame on Wii Sports Resort is the closest thing that I'll get.
